Mace take on Aston Villa
The organisers of 2010 Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and Industry Awards have announced the five shortlisted companies for the highly sought-after ‘Best Contribution to the Community’ Award.
Burton’s award-winning ‘Business of the Year’ and ‘Marketer of the Year’, Mace Electrical and Security, will be facing the might of Aston Villa and Birmingham’s Children’s Hospital to lift this coveted prize.
The enterprising Staffordshire company and active Chamber-member took the opportunity to seek recognition for its Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, programme that has seen the business develop new activities, supported by its commercial work.
Mace entered these awards as a member of the Burton and District Chamber of Commerce which has recently joined the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce Group along with the Lichfield and Tamworth and Chase Chambers.
The other shortlisted entrants are BXL and Small Heath School.
The winners of the awards will be announced at the special Awards Dinner at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham on Thursday, 16 September.
