Award-winning Mace Electrical and Security has completed its latest contract in two 19-storey high-rise buildings in Wolverhampton.
In the occupied, Council owned properties that date from the 1960s, the Burton-based business has undertaken extensive fire-stopping and cable containment work across all the 38 floors of the twin towers.
The East Staffordshire business, which has national and regional clients, designed and manufactured all the joinery before commencing its works. The individual containment boxes incorporate lockable inspection covers that provide greater security combined with accessibility than was previously available.
As part of its fire stopping works, Mace also supplied and fitted new fire doors, replacing the existing units to provide greater fire resistance and extended time for occupants to evacuate the tower blocks in case of an emergency.
“Our single point of contact for the electrical and installation services provided an added advantage to our client”, pointed out Mace MD Simon Chapman.
“These works are further examples of the experience in depth and diversity of services that Mace successfully delivers.”
With its careful Health and Safety planning, Mace ensured that the occupants of both towers had full access their flats at all times during the works.
