Our Community Framework
Mace believe that by maximising the opportunity to support community initiatives, we can positively contribute towards the quality of life of the communities where we work.
Mace developed a ‘stakeholder map’ to focus on positive community actions and to help our staff increase their understanding of community issues.
Over the last 18 – 24 months Mace reached a size to really contribute to ‘selected communities’.
Our greatest success has been linking our activities into a single strategy so that more of our local communities can benefit rather than a one single activity for an individual group or groups.
In Burton and District, there are still significant pockets of social and community deprivation, our CARE alarms protect the vulnerable.
Our Community Mission Statement
The communities in which we live and work are important to us and it is our policy to support them.
We will seek to go beyond our legal obligations to make a real and lasting contribution.
We will focus on those areas where we can contribute most, using our knowledge and expertise, reflecting the priorities of our stake holders.
We will enable our employees to participate in community activities as part of development programmes, specific work place initiatives or individual voluntary work,
and,
We will also actively encourage our partners and stakeholders to join with us.
