Knott-Avonride

Major Burton company is assisted with relocation

Burton’s leading supplier of axles, brakes, cables and overrun couplings for trailers and industrial applications, Knott-Avonride Limited is moving to its new site after Mace Electrical and Security upgraded the existing security and electrical systems.

Moving to Centrum 100, Knott-Avonride Limited has reconfigured the existing 20,000 sq ft building vacated by MGM Trading. Renaming the building Europa House, the company has now transferred from its Wharf Road facility in Burton as part of its planned programme of expansion.

For Knott, Mace carried out a preliminary building-wide health check of the electrical and security systems at Europa House before any installation work was undertaken. This highlighted the need for an upgrading of the current distribution system in the production and warehousing areas to a three-phase sub-mains system for their machinery.

Major work was then required to replace the existing internal and external lighting systems with Knott taking Mace’s advice and agreeing to install the latest energy-efficient system to assist in reducing the company’s carbon footprint.
